LQQK AT THIS!!!!
Today AIG went from $39.16 to $49.94!!
Now .. why do I play the options?
#1 - they're CHEAP.
#2 - settlement is next day, unlike stock trades which are T+3.
Let's get back to ... "cheap".
I could've bought 100 shrs. of AIG @ $39 today and sold @ $49 and made $1k.
However, why should I tie up that amount of money, w/ 3-day settlement when I can achieve the same thing w/ an option?
Here's how it works.
Go to TOS.
Your option symbol for the Oct $39 call is IKG-JM.
Why not buy at the open @ $4.30 and sell before the close @ $12 to $13?
You've basically spent $430 and gotten back $1300!
LOL!
Now THAT'S trading!!

Agreed. But for now I'm going to stick with my Bollinger Band strategy as my main trading vehicle.
While researching and learning more about options, of course ...
